Holiday Inn Cardiff North M4 Jct 32, An Ihg Hotel, Cardiff

Upon arrival, we had to wait until 4:00 pm for our room as the receptionist had forgotten about us, which was a downside. However, once settled, the room was very poor and in need of attention. The beds were comfy, and breakfast offered plenty to eat. The staff, despite the initial hiccup, were polite.

The hotel had a noticeable mold smell in the rooms, and despite attempting to change rooms, I was still left with a musty dampness that didn't make for a pleasant stay. The service, though, was exceptional in providing alternatives and making efforts to rectify the situation swiftly. The location offered easy access to the motorway, but the general upkeep could be improved. The dining experience was enjoyable but lacking in some areas. Overall, a mixed experience with room for improvement.

I had a perfect stay at the hotel. The sauna and steam room were superb, clean, and ideal for relaxation. However, the tired rooms with stains on the carpets and ceiling in the bathroom left a bit to be desired.
